How thoughtful (and completely coincidental) of Apartment Therapy to do a feature on crochet.  Now THIS is what I want mine to look like…

I’ve been working on this design for a while to try and perfect it.  It’s changed a bit since its first appearance.  But here it is finished and I love it!  It’ll be available as cards next week…

You know, there’s no discussing taste with a four year old.  There’s no reasoning of aesthetics.  Sometimes only a cake made to resemble a giant rock with a plastic mermaid sitting on it will do.  So that was how it was that too many of us spent too long playing with icing and marzipan today.  And I must say, as far as mermaid cakes go, it could have been a lot worse.  We slipped in some googly eyed fish when she wasn’t looking and I’m rather pleased with the relatively tasteful bubbles.  Aaaand – It not only looked amazing, with pearls in oysters, treasure chests full of jewels, funky fish, starfish and crabs, swishy seaweed and bubbling bubbles – it tasted deeeeelicious…

I don’t know why I do it but you probably do the same. Despite not having even nearly finished the harlequin blanket, I’ve started a new one. I’m calling this one the Fiesta Siesta. It’s going to look a little bit like this, this, this, this, this or this and this or even this, this or this. And hopefully, when it’s finished, I’ll be taking lots of siestas tucked up under it…

My new cards are now available in my Folksy shop - selling fast!  Grab one for valentine’s day…

Here they are!  They arrived this morning and I can’t tell you how gorgeous they are.  All cards are £2 each or any 3 for £5.  The colours are so bright and zingy and these cards will look fab framed too!

* * * I haven’t had time to get these in the shop yet – email me if you would like one.  They’ll be in my Folksy shop tomorrow * * *

I am waiting for an exciting little parcel to arrive.  I’ve designed some new cards for and I think you’re going to love them!  They’ll be for sale on my etsy and folksy shops as soon as they get here.  Here’s a little snippet…

This is our next door house.  It’s a gorgeous and very photogenic row of three cottages, one white, one yellow and one pink.  I’ve been playing with the settings on my new camera to see which I prefer… what do you think?

Just received a stash of the most amazing fabric and now it’s all cushions! Go to http://cecilymae.com/shop/cushions/ to see them all…

After a very (very) stormy blowy blustery few weeks, all is calm again….
