I have loved loved loved this week!  I’ve been working on loads of commissions for all sorts of different things and have just so much enjoyed sitting at my desk by the window working away.  I’ve been making 8 papercuts for a gallery in Yorkshire AND (most excitingly) a batch of my new fabric has just arrived!  I haven’t even had time to make them up in to cushions yet, but here’s a preview – the text fabric will be fab large cushions, the same style as my circus cards, but big and soft and squishy.  I’ve designed the retro floral fabric around images made using a kaleidoscope – I’ve turned the patterns into beautiful flowers and geometrics using a soft colour palette which is really fresh and vibrant – I can’t wait to turn them all into cushions!

Cushions.  Cushions and cushions.  Cushions.  Cushions.  Cushions.  Cushions and more cushions.  I had a delivery of fabulous new fabric which I couldn’t wait to make into wonderful cushions.  So, it was all I did today, or should it be Sew, it was all I did today.  And when I’d made all 40 cushions, I folded and wrapped and packaged each cushion, each with a free gift tucked into them.  Don’t they look fab!

Well, everyone seems to love the Book Cushions I made for Seth and Noah and I’ve had more commissions for them.  First out of the stalls is little Anna’s – an adorable felt bunny with flippy floppy ears and a lovely vintage Liberty’s face…

I’ve just finished the most fun commission ever!  The lovely lady wanted a pair of cushions for her boys’ room, with their names on and that they could keep their bedtime books in.  And here they are!  Noah and Seth’s Book Cushions!  I love them so much – I love the colours, the owls, the fabrics, just all of it!  They just turned out really well and I think they’re going to be very well loved in their new home…
